Gabrielle Giffords wins Congressional District 8 race

The Associated Press is reporting that Democrat incumbent Gabrielle Giffords has won the race for Congress in Congressional District 8.

Currently, Giffords leads Republican challenger Jesse Kelly by 3,848 votes.

Kelly is a tea party favorite who ran an aggressive campaign. Giffords called his ideas dangerous to the state and its economy.

Kelly called for deep cuts to the federal government, including eliminating the Education Department.

I hope Gabby learned something -- pissing on her REAL base will cause problems -- I don't know of ANY Progressive in my rather large circle who voted for her -- myself included...

She's one of the worst examples of a recent republican who changed registration ONLY to "get elected" and then tried to play both ends against the middle in her unprincipled way...

As for listening to her constituents -- FORGET IT!!!
