DPAKabul - The NATO-led International Security Assistance Forces Sunday said two of its soldiers were killed in separate suspected insurgent attacks in eastern Afghanistan.
The alliance did not disclose the nationalities of the deceased soldiers. The foreign soldiers were died following insurgent attacks in eastern Afghanistan today, the military said in a statement. Most of the troops stationed in the region are from the United States.
A total of 625 coalition soldiers have died in Taliban-led insurgency so far this year, the bloodiest since the foreign troop deployment in Afghanistan in 2001.
In a separate incident in eastern province of Kunar Sunday, the coalition forces killed several insurgents who were taking up a fighting position in Kunar's Darah ye Pech district, the alliance said in another statement.
