Vice President Biden swears in Democratic senators from West Virginia, Delaware

The Senate has two new Democratic lawmakers � one from West Virginia, the other from Delaware.

Vice President Joe Biden administered the oath on Monday to Joe Manchin, who has served since 2005 as governor of West Virginia, and Chris Coons, the Delaware county executive elected to fill the seat long held by Biden.

The ceremony occurred in the Senate chamber.
