If Al Gore or Hillary Rodham Clinton sought the Democratic Presidential nomination, either would immediately become the front-runner in New Hampshire, according to a new poll.

The Presidential race is so “soft,” said Franklin Pierce College poll director Rich Killion, that many people who had told the survey they were “committed” to one of the announced candidates jumped to the former vice president or the New York senator when their names were brought into the mix. ---

But, he removed himself from the campaign over six months ago. And, Hillary has consisently stated that she intends to continue serving her constituents in New York. She plans to run for reelection in 2006!

Neither of these two can afford to wait until the last minute to "declare candidacy". If they were to do so, it would be a political disaster for the Democratic Party. So, if you have connections, you'd better urge them to jump into the fracas now. Later is too late.

While I will support WHOMEVER is the Democratic nominee...my preference is for Dr. / Governor Howard Dean!

Many of us have moved on to other candidates. We need to unite behind the candidates we have. They have worked very hard and are spending a lot of money. The least we can do is be supportive of the ones who are already out there. We have some excellent candidates. I would
vote for Al Gore again, or Hillary Clinton, if they were nominated, but now, I'm throwing my support to the ones already in the race.
I still believe that tolls are tilted in the direction that the DLC
wants them to be.

But it is wiser for Gore to hold his cards now until the time is right.

Until then I urge everyone NOT to bash Gore.

If he runs we must support him as he was the lawfully elected President in 2000 and should have that position.

It would vindicate ALL od us if he were toi run and win in 2004 so I support that possibility above all others.

And why would the people who convinced him not to run before change their minds now? Do you want to know what I believe? Frankly, I don't believe that these people want either Gore or Dean, but the presence of both of them will pretty much guarantee the nomination for Kerry.
