Barbara Bush: I Hope Sarah Palin Stays In Alaska
Source: Talking Points Memo

....................

In a taped interview scheduled to air Monday on "Larry King Live," Bush was asked for her thoughts on the former vice presidential candidate.

"I sat next to her once, thought she was beautiful, and I think she's very happy in Alaska, and I hope she'll stay there," Barbara Bush said.

Former President George H.W. Bush was asked for his thoughts on the Tea Party.

"I don't know what it really is," Bush said. But, he added, "some of the ideas make a lot of sense."

32. Why do you hate polar bears?
I have to believe that eating the brains of any teabagger or RW radio listener would lead to some variant of a Transmissible Spongiform Encephalopathy. Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease, mad cow, kuru, whatever. Polar bears are under enough stress as it is, they do not need a brain wasting disease on top of it.

6. Oooh nice jab Barbara Bush, her son Jeb is going to be pushing
for Rubio to prime him for president and they want Palin to get the hell out of the way.

I expect more nasty comments like this, something Barbara is actually good at and seems to enjoy.

There is much that I do not admire about Barbara Bush, but I do admire her strength. Reminds me a bit of my beloved grandmother.

17. This is a shot across the bow...
...from the Bush family to Sarah Palin.

Barbara Bush just told Sarah Palin to stay the hell out of the 2012 race. When
the Bush's comment on politics, in particular, how they feel about what a specific
person should do--they aren't kidding. They aren't just offering commentary.

This was Bar telling Sarah Palin that she will not be running in 2012.

Think I might be wrong? Bet you a chocolate doughnut that Jeb is preparing
to run, and that he does. They're trying to clear the field for an easy nomination
for Jeb--or another neocon favorite who will keep the country spiraling into a
Fascist hell.

I wouldn't want Sarah Palin for President under any circumstances, but I tell you what--I would
switch parties to vote for her in the Republican primary, so she could be the nominee--instead
of one of those Bush criminals.

The nails are halfway in the coffin of our Republican. If another Bush takes the helm, those
nails will be firmly flush with the coffin--and it will all be over.

I'd love to hear Babs' side of it. I'd bet she'd claim Junior was "misremembering" and it never happened.

23. Palin
in someways running Palin for president would be a good thing.

She would split the Republican party (not all of them like Palin or think she would be anything BUT a good president) and, IMO, drive a large portion of the independents away and towards the Democratic party (as long as the Democratic Party doesn't run someone equally polarizing.

I predict that Palin will get whacked in one of the early primaries and fall to the wayside.

28. Barbara Bush reminds me of a grandmotherly-like lady . . .
. . . who seems all sweet and kind at first glance, and then after she starts talking for about 5 minutes, you just want to shoo her out of the house with a broom like a stray rodent.

That would be the safe response. Can't say what you would want to REALLY do to her after hearing her talk for five minutes without being placed on minimum one, possibly five ignore lists.

Of course then you would need to put a chain around her ankle and use a tractor to drag her out...
