Rep. Peter King: WikiLeaks Should Be A 'Terror Organisation'

Rob Cole, Sky News Online

An American politician has called for WikiLeaks to be designated a terrorist organisation following the release of the latest batch of leaked documents.

New York Republican Peter King said the organisation was a "clear and present danger" to the US.

"WikiLeaks presents a clear and present danger to the national security of the United States," he said. "I strongly urge you (Foreign Secretary Hillary Clinton) to work within the Administration to use every offensive capability of the US government to prevent further damaging releases by WikiLeaks."

The White House was also critical of the leak of US cables.

15. WHY does your district consistently
re-elect this moron when the rest of LI votes Dems, even where registered Reps outnumber Dems?

Congrats to my former rep, Tim Bishop, for winning after all the absentee and military votes were counted.

36. Given his brag during the 2004 elections - I would expect election fraud in his district
Congressman Peter King, the Republican from New York state, in 2004 on election day while people were voting all over this country, this was John Kerry versus George W. Bush, was being filmed by Nancy Pelosi’s daughter for a documentary. I think her name is Alexandra Pelosi? And Nancy Pelosi’s daughter walked up to Congressman Peter King who was at this drunken Republican celebration of the fact that they were going to win, and said, ‘How do you think it’s going to turn out? Is Bush going to win? Is Kerry going to win? What’s going on?’ and this is what congressman Peter King had to say, keep in mind the Republican party, the party of the electronic voting machines, this is what Peter King had to say:

Peter King: “We won.”
Alexandra Pelosi: “How do you know that?
Peter King: “It’s all over but the counting. And we’ll take care of the counting.”

NY-CD-3 is very very conservative. It’s the irish and italians.

Secondly, the State of New York only started using electronic machines this year; previously, we used lever machines.

58. I am BOTH Italian and Irish
My parents voted Dem, I vote Dem, and both my daughters (sitll live on LI) vote Dem. When I move back to LI this summer, I will STILL vote Dem. Although I voted on lever machines since 1968 in NY, I have now voted with both touch screen and optical scanners in Florida. WATCH OUT, Reps. I KNOW what I am doing and know when something isn't "right".

56. Well, there will always be some leaks...
And very often the information getting out is probably going directly to foreign powers since we all spy on each other.

The US just had the misfortune of having a traitor like Bradley Manning in its ranks. In the future, this kind of information will be locked down and harder to get to. But yeah, information will always leak from time to time.

20. Semantics
"WikiLeaks Should Be A 'Terror Organisation'"

In a way I agree - not that they should be LABELED one, but that they would be more effective at making the world better if they had the power to summarily execute the criminals they expose, not merely publicize their working papers.

41. Then King will have to add the NY Times
Many leading newspapers around the world are publishing what Wikileaks has uncovered. Are they also "terror organizations?"

"WikiLeaks said on Twitter early Sunday that its website was "under a mass distributed denial of service attack" but promised that Spain's El Pais, France's Le Monde, Germany's Der Spiegel, Britain's Guardian newspaper and The New York Times "will publish many US embassy cables tonight, even if WikiLeaks goes down." WikiLeaks had given the media outlets prior access to the diplomatic cables to publish in conjunction with their Sunday release on its site."

50. Along with Senator Lindsay Graham, and a few others.
I wonder if the newly elected Speaker of the House Boehner will conduct Congressional investigations into ex-President Bush's administration because of what has become public knowledge about the lies he told to start the Iraq War, or for negligence concerning how Bush ignored warnings of 9-11 about to happen, or for the admission in his own book of ordering waterboarding to be done, which was designated as a form of torture by the Geneva Conventions before George W. Bush was even born!!!!

Probably not.
They're going to go after Rangel and after they get done with him, they'll go after Maxine Waters and some more of the Democrats in the House.

The "We report, you decide" House of Representatives of 2011 will do nothing about the greatest foreign policy mistake of the 21st century.
