Latest Terror Threat in US Aimed to Poison Food
Edited on Mon Dec-20-10 07:59 PM by RamboLiberal
Source: CBS News

In this exclusive story, CBS News chief investigative correspondent Armen Keteyian reports the latest terror attack to America involves the possible use of poisons - simultaneous attacks targeting hotels and restaurants at many locations over a single weekend.

A key Intelligence source has confirmed the threat as "credible." Department of Homeland Security officials, along with members of the Department of Agriculture and the FDA, have briefed a small group of corporate security officers from the hotel and restaurant industries about it.

-----

The plot uncovered earlier this year is said to involve the use of two poisons - ricin and cyanide - slipped into salad bars and buffets.

Of particular concern: The plotters are believed to be tied to the same terror group that attempted to blow up cargo planes over the east coast in October, al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula.

With salmonella, e-coli & just general wondering about food handling at restaurants & supply chain - now this to make you leary of ordering the salad bar. Beware if you see Islamo-Facists at the salad bar. :sarcasm:

This has been done in Oregon in 1984 poisoned 750 people at 10 restaurant salad bars. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1984_Rajneeshee_bioterror_attack

22. great! give more ammunition to mr. nannybags bloomberg himself, for his war on good taste.
now he can ratchet up his regulation of New York City restaurants, by another ten degrees of magnitude.
and pretty soon, our tourist ads will be welcoming visitors to the best prison food on the planet.

26. agreed on NYC dude; and Paris. not sure on Tokyo - find Japanese food rather bland.
the point is: if bloomberg with his 'i know what's best for you' shtick & the city council with their almost passed, "no salt in restaurant food" legislation, have their way at length, we'll end up like the medical retirement homes in florida. 'cos these assholes are really that arrogant -- they think they've been put on the planet to regulate our personal lives & our diets. they are the seemingly more benign aspect of this wave of fascism, that's washing over the planet like the outliers of an oncoming plague.

infrastructure it costs huge amounts of $$$$$ for the industry to be made safe. Al Qaida is hurting productivity in the USA.. which will make the usa less well off in the end.
