The BBC's Jim Muir says the crowds in Tahrir Square are the largest for a week

Hundreds of thousands of Egyptians have poured into Cairo's Tahrir Square for the latest protest calling for Hosni Mubarak's government to step down.

3. Thank you! As I mentioned in another thread I'm currently w/o internet access
at home and can only jump in sporadically at work (so of course I come to DU!) to see what's going on.

I watched a couple of videos from Rachel's show last night and I was kind of discouraged -- that maybe the pro democracy people were becoming weary, that the military has shown its fully backing Mubarak, my heart was heavy.

It must be difficult to keep the momentum and hope alive when you're living in a tent, haven't gone to work, fearful of what the government's next move may be.

This renews my hope for these wonderful people -- thanks again! :hi:
