Group to gather to support Clark's White House bid

Arkansans across the state will gather Monday evening to show their support of Wesley K. Clark, the retired four- star general and Arkansas native who is considering a run for the White House. ---

In conjunction with Arkansas meetings, nearly 100 pro-Clark meetings are scheduled nationwide, according to Jason McIntosh of Draft Clark 2004. At least two dozen active national groups are encouraging the general to seek the presidency.

"We're excited about giving citizens all across the state the opportunity to come out and support a fellow Arkansan as he considers a run for the presidency," said Dailey. "Gen. Clark is the type of leader we need at this critical time in our nation's history, and we look forward to meeting others on Aug. 4 who would like to learn more about Gen. Clark and are supportive of his possible run for the presidency." ---

We'll see what haappens. If he declares, I'll probably support him. At least I'm leaning in that direction now.
