US Envoys To Return To Mideast In Last-Ditch Bid To Avert Looming UN Confronation
Source: ASSOCIATED PRESS

The Obama administration's top two Mideast peace envoys are returning to the region this week in a last-ditch bid to avert a looming crisis over a Palestinian bid for statehood recognition at the United Nations later this month.

U.S. officials said Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton plans to announce on Tuesday that David Hale, the special envoy for Middle East peace, and Dennis Ross, the top Mideast adviser at the National Security Council, will make the trip as the administration seeks to bring Israel and the Palestinians back to stalled peace talks. The officials spoke on condition of anonymity ahead of Clinton's announcement.

1. Ah.....the desperation to try and fool the world
that the U.S. cares about Palestine! I think the whole world is very aware
of the insanity. It's a bit late for new "peace" talks. Israel doesn't
want peace, they only want more land........and the sooner the better.

2. How stupid does President Obama think people of the world are
A long time ago the World figured out what a fraud these peace talks are. It all a cruel joke.

This is greed and bigotry at its worst. Some people try to rationalize it all through the use of a fabricated history. The Palestinians know their history. They've live it.

4. I have no reason to believe this but it seems to me
that the US (and maybe other actors) traded this resolution to the Saudis as part of whatever deal they cut over the Arab Spring countries. It's too deep for me but the Obama administration is not trying very hard to stop this.

6. I have no doubt that deals are being discussed.
Turkey in particular is playing a complicated and assertive game.
