Bill Clinton: Cheney Trying to Cause 2012 Mischief
Source: NY Times

WASHINGTON (AP) — Bill Clinton says he has high regard for Dick Cheney's political skills even if the former vice president tries to cause mischief for Democrats.

Cheney recently praised Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton as one of the Obama administration's "most competent" members and said it would be "interesting to speculate" how she might be as president.

Cheney suggested, tongue in cheek, she might want to challenge Barack Obama in 2012, and said he wouldn't discourage a primary fight.

2. Hillary's time is 2016
And if she chooses to run I will be happy to support her.

She proved in 2008 that she is a team player.

"In 1998, with First Lady Hillary Clinton, From* began a dialogue with British Prime Minister Tony Blair and other world leaders, and the DLC brand -- known as The Third Way -- became a model for resurgent progressive governments around the globe. In April 1999, he hosted an historic Third Way forum in Washington with President Clinton, Prime Minister Blair, German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder, Prime Ministers Wim Kok of the Netherlands and Massimo D'Alema of Italy."

16. Oh, I can see certain possible affinities between Dick and Bubba.

The Koch brothers donated to the DLC, of which both Clintons were founding members, so they must have seen some value in the DLC. After all, the DKC formally divided Democrats into two camps and urged Democrats to act more like Republicans--and still does. I'd be surprised if Cheney, too, doesn't see some value to Republicans in that.

And Bubba is supposedly the first U.S. President to engage in "extraordinary rendition," i.e., sending people to foreign nations to be tortured. There's something Cheney can certainly relate to.

There's also Bubba's demanding that repeal of Glass Steagall be on his desk for his signature ASAP, which enable banksters and Wall Streets to grab a major chunk of the world's wealth for themselves, while bragging on welfore "reform." Welfare reform, of course, was also known within the Clinton administration as "ending welfare as we know it." And then there were also NAFTA, DADT and DOMA.

And then, there's the Clenis, which enabled Dummya and Cheney to run on "bringing honor back to the White House."

Actor Danny Aiello has said publicly that he switched to voting Republican because of of his disgust at what Clinton did in the White House. Imagine, an Italian Catholic and lifelong Democrat got past the choice plank in the Democratic platform, but started voting Republican over that. I doubt he was the only one.

Yes, I can see why Cheney might prefer Bill Clinton to another kind of Democrat.

8. Who cares what Cheney thinks? Who cares what he would encourage or discourage.
Coming from a murderous jackass that promoted torturing innocent people in Saddam's own prisons, WHO cares what he thinks now?

I know some people do. And that is something to consider and that's why I asked 'who'.

9. Cheney should be in prison
at best. Actually he should probably be hanging in a gallows after being sentenced by the World Court.

17. All war criminals need to sit down and shut up. Cheney, Bush, Condi, the whole repulsive lot.
And the media that covers their every verbal fart as though it matter should be innundated with protests and boycotted.

Enough is enough.
