"ISSAQUAH, Wash. – A witness says kids ran for cover under bleachers as a guman fired shots near Issaquah High School.
Police shot and killed the lone gunman. No one else was hurt.
The man, said to be in his 50s and from Maple Valley, was driving his car on Front Street when he stopped in the middle of the street, got out and started shooting, King County Sheriff’s Office spokesman John Urquhart said."

Issaquah is where I live. Our village was just recently ranked as the best place to live for Outdoor Activities,

There were no deaths thanks to the actions of the police. Just horrifying afternoon.

President Obama will be in Seattle tomorrow about 25 miles away.

1. Wow - Issaquah! I always think of it as safe and close-knit and
sane. Yikes! I wonder what possessed him to do that, but we might never know. Impressed by the police response!

Wow - I didn't even know Obama was going to be here tomorrow!

2. Suicide by cop is starting to be floated as a possible reason.
There were just too many people up and down front street and at the school for this to have ended with no deaths.

4. That always makes me so sad. I always feel heartbroken for
the person who feels death is the only way out, and heartbroken for the cop/s who kill the person. :(

3. Thanks NRA for pushing guns, guns and more guns...
Sorry folks...I just don't think that everyday persons need so many guns. It's not my thing.

6. Feel free to think whatever you want.
As long as your actions do not infringe on somebody else's "things".

13. Yes .... Society should NEVER consider controlling any sort of 'thing'
Machine guns .... grenade launchers ... mortars ... explosives .... ALL are 'things' ....

Society should NEVER try to dissuade any citizen from owning such 'things' ...

We might infringe on their rights to own 'things' ....

Yep .... uh huh .... no limits whatsoever .... Perfect freedom to own whatever 'things' your heart desires ...

15. It may be a big surprise to you
but all those "things " are perfectly legal to own!
As long as you are not prohibited to own a gun and have the dough (cheapest start at 3K), you can buy all those and a few other scary "things".

16. My neighbors look forward to your arrival ...
Cant wait to secure the neighborhood with REAL manly weapons .... not those penny ante rifles and handguns ...

I dont know about you, but I dont feel secure without a multiple rocket launcher in my driveway and a cannon turret on the roof ... THEN those pesky neighbor kids may have something to think about ....

17. Unlike some
I'm very comfortable with a .22.
Most definitely I don't have to compensate for a small penis.

7. Actually, there weren't 'no deaths' as you suggest.
We have no idea what lead this person to open fire near the High School. His actions can not possibly be justified. Still, he was killed to try and save the lives of others.

Sadly, there was one death, the perpetrator, but that death may very well have saved the lives of countless others.

Peace

8. I stand corrected. Like I suggested, If he wanted
to kill someone he had plenty of opportunity.

We live in complicated times. People are becoming unhinged.
