Pakistan Warns Against U.S. Attack On Militants
Source: REUTERS

ISLAMABAD (Reuters) - U.S. military action against insurgents in Pakistan would be unacceptable and the country's army would be capable of responding, intelligence chief Ahmed Shuja Pasha told a meeting of political leaders in Islamabad, according to media reports.

Express News TV cited Pasha as saying an "American attack on Pakistan in the name of (fighting) extremism is not acceptable."

However, several television news reports said Pasha had also told an all-party meeting to discuss the crisis in ties between Washington and Islamabad that Pakistan would not allow the situation to get to a "point of no return."

Pakistan has long faced U.S. demands to attack militants on its side of the border with Afghanistan.

1. We're really in an undeclared war with the Pakistan, too.
What's the count now? Do I have to move over to a new hand? Anyway, we're selectively waging war on elements which have been allowed to exist and thrive in Pakistan and, yes, even appear to have been supported by Pakistan or more likely elements of their intelligence services. Like that one guy in Abbottabad.

3. Pakistani militants are killing many more Pakistan citizens WILLINGLY
than US does as collateral casualties. They are willing to protect people who are murdering their own people. US is doing what the Pakistani govt refuses to do, make pakistan free of murderers of its citizens.
President Bush said after 9/11 he would go after any terrorist ANYWHERE. Obama is doing just that. We are responding to terrorists who attack our troops in Afghanistan from a foreign country "Pakistan". Is that to say that Pakistan is at war with Afghanistan by giving sanctuary to terrorists and enabling them to act with impunity and safe harbor. They are afraid of India having a huge influence over Afghanistan and want the current turmoil to continue.

2. Instead of threatening US, Pakistan should use US funds to
attack militants within their borders. To offer protection to militants is just as egregious as the protection of Osama Bin Ladin. They can play their China card but US will play India card. Much easier to confront militants and corrupt intelligence services.
