News Flash: Protesters Occupy Mitch McConnell’s Office
Source: Think Progress

Contains video as well.

As Senate Republicans prepare to filibuster a bill to create jobs and rebuild infrastructure because it is paid for with a small tax increase on the top 0.1 percent of earners, about 40 unemployed District of Columbia residents have occupied Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell’s (R-KY) office, refusing to leave until McConnell grants them a face-to-face meeting about the bill. Watch a video of the occupation, via Our DC, which is organizing the protest ...

We know the bill will be filibustered, but it's time to take it to McConnell's face and force the media to do their job. Nationally, the metastases of the filibuster is the greatest story ever NOT told.

Get in the faces of the lazy-ass legislators who want to sit around and do NOTHING for the country.

7. Couldn't agree more. It's outrageous and heartbreaking
The GOP are shredding the country to pieces, no one is reporting on anything by but Cain, and media maintains the "both sides do it" lie." Time to hold the light to this mother f'ers face.

11. Unfortunately, they will probably increase security to prevent further 'incursions'.
I would prefer to see a crowd of people surrounding the entire damned capital. That might 'inconvenience' them a little more.

Ky office, they locked the doors and called the cops.

8. Kudos to ThinkProgress - they do amazing work
on so many issues, many of which they don't get credit for, e.g., ground breaking investigation of the Koch Brothers.

McConnell has need to be scrutinized for a long time.

16. That's why they can ignore OWS.
Because OWS is happening in somebody else's 'neighborhood', not theirs.

Surround the capital and start chanting 'Do your damned jobs!' Or something.

18. Very good - this will bring attention to the real people who are causing
our problems with the economy. They of course need to stay until carried away by the police. If security is upped then it is time for something else - I like the idea of surrounding the capital with as many people as we can get there and staying as long as it takes.

24. McMashedPotatoMouth

is no doubt outraged, outraged I tell you.

To have to face actual, pissed-off Americans who are the victims of his Plantation Policies? Instead of gushing lobbyists?

The horror! Baby Jeebus is prolly sobbing in agony somewhere in heaven over this abuse of ole McMashedPotatoMouth!
