Judge won't halt federal crackdown on medical pot

OAKLAND -- A judge has rejected a request from medical marijuana suppliers to bar federal prosecutors from filing charges against them or seizing their property.

U.S. District Judge Saundra Brown Armstrong in Oakland said the medical marijuana collectives had failed to show they would suffer "immediate, irreparable harm" without a court order.

"The court is sensitive to the desires of individuals to use medical marijuana with a doctor's recommendation, as permitted by California law," Armstrong wrote in a 27-page ruling filed this week. "Nonetheless, marijuana remains illegal under federal law, and in Congress' view, it has no medicinal value."

In rejecting the advocates' request for temporary injunctions, the judge also said she doubted they would prevail in lawsuits seeking to halt the Obama administration's campaign to shut down their dispensaries.

10. I'm becoming convinced that Holder and Obama

has nothing to do with this, but they better find a way to stop it. I can't think of a way they can stop it without the fed laws being changed though. Can a President remove a drug from schedule A without the FDA or Congress? This is a concerted effort by repub appointees against Obama, I'm sure of that.

Suspended over him before I voted for him in 2008.

One puppet string comes dangling down from the Big Pharma people, making sure their precious patents on cannibinoids are able to wrest every single possible dollar of profit from people with diseases like cancer and MS.

Marijuana is so bad it has to be kept illegal, just until the Big Pharma people have patented every last component of it. The there will be laws saying the patented forms of it are the best thing ever, though for many of us, it won't be affordable.
