Walker administration alters protest permit requirements

Madison - Gov. Scott Walker's administration is requiring more permits for events and demonstrations at the Capitol and other state buildings.

The policy started Thursday, though there will be a learning period about the new policy lasting until Dec. 16.

"Our goal is to provide equal and continual access for all Wisconsinites to their state buildings in a way that is reasonable and safe," Administration Secretary Mike Huebsch said in a statement. "This policy ensures our ability to appropriately staff events for the safety of those participating."

What hypocrites....he's all for less government regulation----except when it comes to something that he disagrees with. Then, there is an executive decree demanding bureacratic approval before someone exercises their right of assembly and free speech.

People don't need Walker's permission to exercise their rights under the U.S. Constitution. Where are all the Teabaggers who worship the US Constitution on this issue? Oh yeah, only the people they deem worthy have rights. :sarcasm:
