Cain gave affair accuser money without wife's consent

MANCHESTER, N.H. -- Herman Cain said Thursday that he repeatedly gave money without his wife's knowledge to Ginger White, the Atlanta woman who alleged carrying on an affair with Cain for 13 years.

Via about 70 text messages Cain said that White sent him, he said she was economically troubled. "She was out of work and had trouble paying her bills and I had known her as a friend." He would not elaborate how much he gave her.

Cain justified his described behavior as nothing out of the ordinary, saying, "I'm a soft-hearted person when it comes to that stuff. I have helped members of my church. I have helped members of my family."

I fequent a local pub that brews their own beer. My wife doesn't drink so she has never been there. She doesn't mind me stoppinbg for a few cold ones after work. I been friendly for a few years with a young lady who works as a bartender. She recently got pregnant with twins and will be a single mother. "Daddy" decided the dating was over when he heard she was prego.

As a bleeding heart my initial reaction was to donate $500 or so to help with the immense cost of what she'll be dealing with for diapers, food, clothes, health insurance, etc. Then after about 2 minuets I realized that it would look really bad with my wife if I gave a gorgeous young bartender $500 without her knowing. Sometimes you need to use good judgement. Herman Cain did not.

Herman Cain is their perception of a typical black man, a whore and a pimp. One of the settlements sounds like he told the girl to "make nice" to clients (she awoke in his apartment, but hadn't slept with him) - there's the pimp and well, the whoring around makes him a whore. I also notice he picks on women who are vulnerable (unemployed or works for him) so he's a predator too.
