Murder charge in killing near Occupy Oakland camp

An Oakland man has been arrested and charged with murder, and three others are facing assault charges, in connection with the beating and shooting death of a man near the former Occupy Oakland encampment outside City Hall, police said Thursday.

Norris Terrell, 20, of Oakland was arrested last week in Louisville, Ky., and has been charged by Alameda County prosecutors with murder in the slaying of Kayode Ola Foster, 25, of Oakland.

Three other suspects - Joseph Anthony Gholston, 32, Excell McKinley, 20, and Carleon Roberson, 18, all of Oakland - have been charged with assault. Authorities say the three beat Foster on Frank Ogawa Plaza on Nov. 10 moments before Terrell opened fire.

Foster was killed, and an employee of a nearby credit union was grazed by a bullet that penetrated the building, authorities said.

He and the other suspects had nothing to do with Occupy Oakland. I hate it when they write shit this way and infer a connection.

I can not correlate this post with any logical meaning.

Do you mean that the use of 'black,' in the context of African-Americans, is used too much?

Do you mean that the use of black, in the context of African-Americans, is used whenever there is a shooting?

Do you mean that the use of black, in the context of African-Americans, is used when there is a shooting and there is evidence that either the shooter and/or shootee can/cannot be determined but inferred either by the article or the OP?

Do you mean that the use of black, in the context, that the US's outlook is bleak (black or dark)?

Do you mean that the use of black, in the context that it's used too much in describing women's wardrobes-basic black-Lewis Black-Black & Decker-black jokes-BlackPlanet-or so many other 'adjectives' that use the term.

All in all I guess your post gave me that sinking feeling.
