Mexico activist in Juarez women killings wounded

CIUDAD JUAREZ, Mexico (AP) — An activist representing relatives of women slain or missing in the border city of Ciudad Juarez was shot Friday in what authorities called an apparent robbery attempt.
Chihuahua state prosecutors said Norma Andrade, 51, was shot twice outside her home and was in stable condition in a hospital.

What a dreadful shame. In a country that is torn apart by cartels and corruption, it takes some special kind of courage to be doing something as noble and righteous as this woman is involved in. We can focus on all the evil in Mexico, or we can also consider the bright stars like this woman who put their lives on the line for justice.
