Pakistan says U.S. drones in its air space will be shot down
Source: msnbc.com

ISLAMABAD -- Pakistan will shoot down any U.S. drone that intrudes its air space per new directives, a senior Pakistani official told NBC News on Saturday.

Pakistani security personnel examine a crashed US surveillance drone inside Pakistan in August.

According to the new Pakistani defense policy, "Any object entering into our air space, including U.S. drones, will be treated as hostile and be shot down," a senior Pakistani military official told NBC News.

The policy change comes just weeks after a deadly NATO attack on Pakistani military checkpoints accidentally killed 24 Pakistani soldiers, prompting Pakistani officials to order all U.S. personnel out of a remote airfield in Pakistan.

Pakistan told the U.S. to vacate Shamsi Air Base by December 11.

4. Including their own US drones?
This is pure theater, something to placate a public highly mis-informed about the US/Pakistan alliance.

6. Winning hearts & minds
Why aren't predatory drones terrorism? It sure would terrorize Americans if a foreign nation was flying drones in our air space and could kill us with bombs at any moment without warning.

7. Times are changing
Pretty soon we will wear out our Welcome mat in most Arab and Asian countries and will be forced to take out and remove all our military bases and troops from Arab and asian lands.
that would be a good thing for Americans,we would save billions of dollars, and many lives death and destruction, and just about stop creating ever more terrorist and haters of America,as that is all our military occupation and policies has been doing the last few decades, killing more and more people while creating new young generations of haters who will grow up to avenge all their people we have killed over the years

9. No country was ever loved for their military occupation.
The US may be better than all the others throughout history, but that is still not really all that good.

10. False bravado to save face.
Pakistan will never dare to shoot our drones and their Chinese masters won't let them escalate the conflict either.

Pakistan knows that its economy will crumble without US aid.

11. Pakistan boosts border security after airstrike - CNN
source: CNN

Islamabad, Pakistan (CNN) -- Pakistan, in a bid to bolster its border with Afghanistan, has installed anti-aircraft guns and radars to monitor air activity, a senior Pakistani military official told CNN.

"We had to do it after being deceived by our so-called friends," said the official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity.

The move comes in response to a NATO airstrike last month that killed 24 Pakistani soldiers.

The official declined to say how many anti-aircraft guns and radars were installed along the country's western border.

14. Gee like no surprise there's drones in Pakistan.
they harbored UBL. What do they expect. There's no way they didn't know UBL was just a couple miles from their training base. Everyone knew where UBL was, just took a President with guts to go in there. And Bush sure didn't have it.
