Last US troops withdraw from Iraq
Source: BBC

The last convoy of US troops to leave Iraq has entered Kuwait, nearly nine years after the invasion that toppled Saddam Hussein.

The final column of about 100 armoured vehicles carrying 500 soldiers crossed the southern Iraqi desert overnight. <snip>

The only US military presence left in Iraq now is 157 soldiers responsible for training at the US embassy, as well as a small contingent of marines protecting the diplomatic mission.

1. I had CNN on this afternoon and they had a report on the continuing Iraqi deaths.
Hundreds are still killed or injured every week. The two they showed were heartbreaking, a young boy and then a young woman, who was the sole support for her family, who had recently lost their legs. Don Lemon was choked up... ;(

2. To be Replaced by "Contractors" who have no obligation to any International Laws
for "Conduct of War" and just like our own Troops...have no obligation to "Geneva Convention" rules of "Conduct in Battle."

:-( Glad the "Grunts are Coming Home" ...but what replaces them is "Lawless Thugs." :puke:

3. I heard Bremer interviewed on NPR, saying it's too early to pull out---after 10 yrs!
What a nutcase. Also admitted he made a mistake de-Baathistizing the country.
