Strait of Hormuz: Threats exchanged, U.S. carrier tracked
The action by an Iranian surveillance plane showed that Iran had "control" over moves by foreign forces in the region, the Associated Press quoted from an official Islamic Republic News Agency report.

Tehran is currently holding a 10-day military exercise in international waters near the Strait of Hormuz.

2. I read that Iran is
going to 'test' a Long Range Missile.

And now that the North Korean dude is dead, well...it looks like time to get the sheeple to find a common enemy outside of the US and let the Banksters and Corporatists off the hook.

5. Only a matter of time before the War Criminals
...cobble together another Gulf of Tonkin
or a Weapons of Mass Destruction SCAM.

The table is set,
and the No Bid Contracts are written
and awaiting only the signatures.

Have Imperial Army.

7. Perfect logo Bvar
but you know only those of us "of a certain age" know where it came from.

You would think they could have come up with something more original than "Tonkin Gulf - the sequel!"

True.

Our Satellite TV started running old Have Gun Will Travel episodes.
I tuned in the other night, and had an epiphany.
ALL of those old horse operas were short Morality Plays.
The hero always protected & helped the weak, the underdog, the minorities, the underprivileged,
those being preyed upon by The Crowd, The Rich, and The Powerful,
and then quietly disappeared
without Cheers, Accolades, Rewards, or Personal Glory.

I grew up on that stuff, and THAT is missing from TV today,
as well as missing from our younger culture.

Then I realized that that same Morality theme wasn't just limited to the Horse Operas,
but across the board on TV in the 50s and early 60s.
Leave it to Beaver
My 3 Sons
Andy Griffith

etc.
All were short Morality Plays themed around the values mentioned above,
and pretty much reflect my internal values of today.

Chicken or The Egg?

Now, everything is In Your Face Smash Mouth.
No One from MY generation would ever conceive of the endzone Personal Glory antics
taken for granted in today's NFL.

I'm glad I'm old.

I'll miss you here, my friend,
and wish you well.

10. Y'know - I just saw a "Law and Order" rerun
where Jack McCoy makes that same point about the "violent" TV we (meaning Boomers) all watched as kids. As he pointed out - this was the generation that protested war and joined the fight for equal rights.

8. I do not trust any "official" story coming from the U.S. government.
Their credibility is finished, and rightfully so.
