GOP hopefuls to battle at last debate before Florida primary
By the CNN Wire Staff
updated 2:10 AM EST, Thu January 26, 2012

(CNN) -- Republican presidential hopefuls will get a chance for some last jabs at each other before the pivotal Florida primary at Thursday night's debate at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville.

The function, which is hosted by CNN, the Republican Party of Florida and the Hispanic Leadership Network, comes just days before the January 31 presidential primary in Florida.

CNN anchor Wolf Blitzer will moderate the debate and the remaining four candidates -- former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, former Sen. Rick Santorum of Pennsylvania and Rep. Ron Paul of Texas -- have all accepted invitations to attend.

The debate comes as new poll shows front-runners Gingrich and Romney in a virtual tie.

2. I hope they knock out each other and Obama can giggle at Santorum!

BTW, the more you google "Santorum frothy mix," the faster it comes up (so to speak) whenever anyone googles Santorum's name. So, google it!

Tip of the hat (no wag of the finger) to Colbert for announcing that.

Thing is, though, the Republican establishment wants Romney and the msm seems to trying to help with that as much as it can, much as the msm helped the Democratic establishment put Dean's candidacy to bed permanently. (Oh, well. At least Kerry had the grace to appoint Dean head of the DNC and we won a lot of seats in both 2006 and 2008.)
