20. That is so bogus . . . they cut away cause Gore is methodically
and reasonably obliterating Bush "arguments" to atoms. No doubt the producers are on the studio floor making slashing motions across their throats.

This isn't one of those Kudlow and Cramer blathering idiots talking--this is cold fact and logic brought to bear on evidence, and THEY CAN'T HANDLE IT!

What a tragedy it is that the man more people voted for president isn't the president. In the words of "Hamlet," "he would have proved most royal."

29. Just where do you think you live, Gloria
You live in Imperial Amerika, where you'll think, by God, whatever the TV tells you to think!

</sarcasm off, though that is also very VERY close to the reality of things, so maybe it's not sarcasm after all>

And then dare the poodle or his new labour

17. Why can't the other candidates say the same thing as Al is saying?
Even Dean comes nowhere near as being as blunt or honest. And I don't buy that they have to soften their message because they are running for president...

21. I feel sorry for them
It's a nerve racking experience. Gore isn't running now, so he has no need to be nervous. He's just going with what he feels. I wish I wasn't at work so I could hear the speech. Hopefully C-SPAN will replay it on the drive home.

23. When you're not running you can be yourself
It's the truth. Look at how much more fun Bob Dole became once the 1996 election was history.

24. Gore might be listened to more now
Gore doesn't have the same personal motives that he had in 2000. He will be listened to now as a statesman rather than a candidate. I think that is where Gore will shine brightest for us.

Some people (like Sen Byrd) are better at being a thorn in the side of the Republicans. I think if Gore (and others) keep the pressure on Bush, and expose the lies, it would allow the Democratic candidates to take the high road and keep a positive message going.

32. Maybe you should listen to Dean before making such statements
Read the Philadelphia Weekly Cover story on Howard Dean http://www.philadelphiaweekly.com/cover/

The question and answer session at the end is where Dean nails the Bush Admin and specifically Karl Rove.

28. Did you catch the last paragraph???
Talking about the candidates running on the Democratic ticket?

"...I will not join them..."

There, now can we get through the Tooth-Fairy-Santa-Claus "Draft Gore" bullshit and concentrate on firing Bush, like Al said?
