2 Mistaken for Suspected Terrorists

At least two people in Virginia have been mistaken for suspected terrorists whose photographs were distributed by the U.S. Justice Department.

FBI agents were brought in Friday after a woman called the Williamsburg Police Department and said she thought she had seen one of the seven suspected al-Qaida terrorists.

The caller said she thought she had seen Adnan G. El Shukrijumah working as a landscaper in a subdivision. Investigators confronted the man as he was cutting grass.

"From a distance, he looked exactly like him," said police Maj. Stan Stout. But upon further investigation, Stout said, "it became obvious that it wasn't him."

The man turned out to be a Mexican resident in the United States on a work visa.
