Pope prays for rain to end heatwave
Pope John Paul asked God on Sunday to shower down rain on a scorched Europe, where fires have killed several dozen people and destroyed tens of thousands of hectares.

The 83-year-old pope was speaking to hundreds of pilgrims and tourists who braved the heat and humidity and packed the courtyard of his summer residence south of Rome for one of his twice-weekly summer appearances.

"I ask you to join me in my prayer for the victims of this calamity and urge all of you to ask the Lord fervently to grant the thirsty Earth the coolness of rain," he said.

Pope, you'd do the world much better to pray for the children your priests had/are having anal and oral sex with. (With your full knowledge for 30 years!)

Who's committed more sins, more terrible sins? Saddam or the Pope, Cardinals, Bishops and priests?

I don't believe it stopped at the priests either. It is in the Catholic leadership. It is in the Vatican. It is overseas in the less rich nations like maggots on a corpse.

The Catholic leadersihp should be prosecuted for 'Accessory to Pedophilia' and 'Accessory to Murder' (for any person who committed suicide.)

This doesn't stop at the children either. Adults in terrible emotional distress visits priests for consultation and are raped.

4. I'm locking this thread.
This is just flame bait.

When discussing a sensitive topic like religion, we can really be better than this. Using a prayer for rain as an excuse to bash the pope over the pedophelia scandal is lame. As is comparing the pope to Saddam Hussein.

Let's try to be a little more sensitive, okay?
