Saudi executes two men for heroin smuggling

RIYADH, Aug 10 (Reuters) - Saudi Arabia executed an Afghan man and a Pakistani man on Sunday, both convicted of smuggling heroin into the kingdom, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

The executions in the Red Sea city of Jeddah and the capital Riyadh bring to at least 29 the number of people put to death this year in the kingdom, which practises strict Islamic sharia law.
