CNN Sues Over Lists of Possible Felons on Florida Voter Rolls

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) - The Cable News Network sued Florida's elections office Wednesday to get access to a state list with names of possible felons who may need to be deleted from voter rolls. snip

The list is of interest to journalists because of the potential for mistakes.

After the 2000 election, in which George W. Bush was declared the winner in Florida by 537 votes following five weeks of recounts and challenges, there were widespread claims around the state by people who said they were prevented from voting even though they weren't felons. snip

The lawsuit was filed after the Atlanta-based news organization was told May 24 that a representative would have to travel to Tallahassee to view the list in person and may not make a copy. snip

State and county officials acknowledge the list likely contains many people who legally should continue to be allowed to vote.

3. it's not clear, but I think they want the current list

they don't say it exactly, but I can infer that they want this year's list from this sentence:

"The Cable News Network sued Florida's elections office Wednesday to get access to a state list with names of possible felons who may need to be deleted from voter rolls."

It doesn't say they want the list of names that were previously deleted or deleted in 2000, but rather names under consideration now.

4. The list should be vetted in an open manner under court review.

After Abu Ghraib, one would not trust the US Army with the safety of POWs; after the 2000 election, no one should trust the Bush family with the safety of democracy.

Florida, one of the least free states in the Republic, and governed by the president's family, simply can not be trusted in the aftermath of its 2000 debacle to run a fair election. Least of all can it be trusted not to fake and lard its voter disenfranchisement rolls again.

since CNN (Still Whore Media) totally blocked the list that Palest acquired in 2000, at that was before the Supreme Court Selectors made their final decision. Imagine today's world if CNN or any one of the whore media's reported the truth back on Dec 1st 2000? At any rate, it is good to see CNN actually do some reporting today, but it's way to little and 3 years past due. The CNN article has more details:
