just because you don't like the results doesn't mean it's the fault of the pollster.

And yes, I know he gives more weight to Republicans, but that's 'cause they tend to vote more.

10. The undecideds are up in this poll

Bush has not experienced any bump in his match up numbers against John Kerry. He was at 42% the last time. However the undecideds are up 3 or 4 points. This is to be expected. People still don't know a lot about John Kerry, but I think after he chooses a running mate and has the convention he will experience a big bump in the polls. And yes, the undecideds usually do break for the challenger.

Kerry still leads by 2. Interestingly enough, Nader only seems to take away votes from the undecideds in this poll. By the way, the new Gallup poll has Kerry up by 6 points. Although I trust Zogby more than Gallup, that is truly amazing because Gallup has always had a pro-Bush slant to it.

A lot of people who would consider themselves pro-choice, or friendly to the evironment, are woefully uninformed about what's really going on in the world.

They take administation reports of pollution reduction at face value, and don't see any serious attacks on Roe v Wade coming out of the WH, so they feel comfortable with not much positive change in exchange for the big daddy who will "stop the terraists that are trying to kill us and destroy freedom."

I think a lot of people who would identify themselves as progressive or liberal think that trees are nice, and poor people should have food, and racism is bad and don't think any more about what's going on other than what they are being spoon fed from the politicos and the media.

there's a long way to go yet. It appears to me that after the st.ronnie bounce the chimp* has nowhere to go but down, there's not a damn thing he can do in the time left to him, there isn't time for a miraculous economic recovery, and I believe the U.N. will continue to snub him.
Let's keep grinding and worry about numbers in September.
