Suicide Car Bombing Kills 14 Iraqis

BAGHDAD, Iraq - Three car bombs shook the northern Iraqi cities of Baqouba and Mosul on Tuesday, killing at least 14 Iraqis and one U.S. soldier. At least 126 people were wounded, including 10 U.S. soldiers.

The first blast occurred outside forward operating base War Horse, a U.S. outpost at the former al-Faris air force base 30 miles north of Baghdad.

"At rush hour, a suicide bomber blew up his Mitsubishi," said Iraqi police Second Lt. Ali Hussein. "The blast led to huge damage."

The explosion killed at least four Iraqis and one American soldier, the U.S. military and police said. Sixteen Iraqis and 10 American soldiers were wounded.

North Iraq car bombings kill 15

Suicide car bomb blasts have killed at least 15 people and injured more than 110 in Mosul and Baquba, north of Baghdad, officials say.

The US military said 10 civilians died when a car bomb blew up outside the mayor's office in Mosul.
