Canadian movie goers will get their first look at Michael Moore's controversial anti-Bush documentary "Fahrenheit 9/11" on June 25 under a distribution deal announced on Wednesday by Alliance Atlantis Communication Corp.
The Cannes festival award-winning film, which documents America's reaction to the Sept. 11 attacks on the World Trade Center and Pentagon, made headlines in May after Walt Disney Co. refused to allow Miramax Films to release the movie to theaters, claiming it was too politically charged.
Alliance's motion picture distribution unit, which has acquired Canadian distribution rights from Fellowship Adventure Group, will release the movie on the same date it hits U.S. screens.
