Halliburton's Nigerian unit probed (by SEC)

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Halliburton said Friday that the Securities and Exchange Commission started a formal investigation into payments made in connection with the construction of a natural gas plant in Nigeria by a joint venture called TSKJ .

Houston-based Halliburton Co. (HAL: Research, Estimates), once headed by Vice-President Dick Cheney, said it has met with the SEC and the Justice Department to discuss the matter.

3. Halliburton is so crooked that it needs braces!

"Nigeria, which human rights groups deem one of the world's most corrupt nations." No contest there, Nigeria is the most corrupted nation in the world. I can contest to that. It's so corrupted that people have now started playing the many corruption games amongst themselves.

Now we know why Bush went their in July of 2003, he was setting up these deals for his buddy Cheney. What some people will do for friends.
