Iraq: US Attack in Fallujah Killed Only Civilians

VOA News 20 Jun 2004

The Iraqi officers say Sunday women and children were among those killed, but an investigation produced no evidence foreign insurgents had used the house.

U.S. General Mark Kimmitt said U.S. forces had intelligence that members of militant leader Abu Musab al-Zarqawi's terrorist network were in the house at the time of the attack Saturday.

Elsewhere, an Iraqi official, Azzedine al-Bayati,says a city councilman in Tikrit was killed by unidentified gunmen.

In the south, an Iraq official one of two pipelines destroyed in attacks last week has been repaired and limited export of oil will resume today.

9. These bombings have a lot to do with the deaths of Johnson and Berg.
Remember Shock and Awe, only civilians died during the intitial attacks on Iraq. 0 out of 50 bombings hit 'intended targets'.

Did everyone see the pictures of the people trying to scavange anything worth saving out of that mess. Of the young Iraqi girl looking through the debris?

How can there be any questions about why there are so many 'insurgents' and suicide bombings when we continually murder innocent Iraqis and then justify the killings by saying that they were after targeted terrorists but they just had, oops, bad info.

13. Error is not in the dictionary of Holy Wars
to be an error one would have to assume that you had other motives besides the actual outcome,"screwing up" time after time to insight hatered is not an ERROR.Thinking that you are going to have an election in November now thats an error. :dunce:

4. VOA News.
Voice of America. Isn't this a US government supported network abroad? It seems odd that they would be mentioning this story.

5. VOA News is a U.S. Government Agency, but
Edited on Sun Jun-20-04 09:23 AM by PSU84
it is generally considered a reliable news source. It should not be confused with the propaganda agency that Bush has set up in Baghdad.

Chicago Tribune page 3 reports something like 19 dead and all supposedly terrorists or insurgents.

10. So, were they having a wedding?
Sounds just like the wedding story. Whatever happened to that? I haven't heard one word about any follow-up investigation.

12. Again, and again, and
again. Does life have no meaning to these people? Does the record of their intelligence failures have no meaning?
