Bush pleads for courtesy [Washtimes]

Bush pleads for courtesy

Washington, DC, Jun. 25 (UPI) -- An Irish reporter threw courtesy aside and repeatedly interrupted President George W. Bush during a television interview at the White House.

"Let me finish. Let me finish. May I finish?" Bush said early in his interview ...

<snip>

"Let me finish. Let me finish, please. Please. You ask the questions and I'll answer them, if you don't mind," he said in a second interruption moments later.

The two pleadings were followed by three more during an 11-minute exchange in advance of Bush's trip to Ireland, where he was to attend a summit meeting of the European Union.

<snip>

-------------------

hey, bush, you should take a lesson from dick "f.u." cheney and just start showing your outrage. go ahead. you'll feel better, and it will stop you from wandering the halls of white house and muttering psychopathically to yourself.

9. ah, unbiased reporting. remember perot?
when perot was constantly interrupted, he said, "kin ah finish, kin ah finish"?

he got LAMBASTED for that. ROASTED.

but with bush, of course, it's the reporter that 'threw courtesy aside'.

with perot, no one EVER complained about the interrupting reporters and interviewers. they only ever joked about perot's responses.

p.s., not a perot fan. just pointing out the inconsistent media coverage.

24. My own partial transcript
GWB: And no-one can argue that the world is better off if Saddam Hussein were in power.

CC: But Mr. President, the world is a more dangerous place today. I don't know whether you can see that or not.

GWB (interrupting): Why do you say that?

CC: There are terrorist bombings every single day. It's now a daily event. It wasn't like that two years ago.

GWB: What was it like Sept 11 2001? It was a relative calm. It ...

CC (interrupting): But if your response to Iraq ...

GWB: Let me finish please. You ask the questions, I'll answer them if you don't mind.

Well, Junior, it seems to have escaped your notice that you were asking the questions there. If you're going to interrupt, and behave like a TV pundit (asking your own questions and then answering them), then you have to expect to get interrupted back. This isn't a speech.

And, of course, Junior is implying that Saddam was linked to Sept 11. Again. Does this lying sack of shit never give up?

He can't get Tim Russert to throw him softballs all the time.

If he wants to talk about courtesy, he should have a word with his campaign staff over that outrageous spot now appearing on his website or his running mate about inappropriate places to use profanity.

asking him rude sexual questions and treating them with utter disrespect which was beneath his dignity. Bush has himself so high on the tip of the sword that a journalist is formally and publicly admonished for having the NERVE to interrupt the COMMANDANT-in Chief!
