Irish TV Crews Catch Bush Changing Clothes
June 26, 2004, 5:05 AM EDT

NEWMARKET-ON-FERGUS, Ireland -- Dromoland Castle's presidential suite in west Ireland offers luxurious accommodations for the rich and the powerful, but privacy sometimes is in short supply.

President Bush, on an overnight stay in the $1,500-a-night suite, was spotted by television cameras as he was standing in a T-shirt at his window. He was visible from the waist up, apparently as he was changing clothes.

<snipP>

A notice to the news media said, "The host broadcaster inadvertently transmitted pictures of President Bush at the window of Dromoland Castle. These pictures are the property of the Irish presidency and must not be used for transmission by any service."

1. what?
"These pictures are the property of the Irish presidency and must not be used for transmission by any service."

The Irish govt is claiming TV news footage as their own?

I mean, who the hell cares about a shirtless Bush with his burgeoning potbelly... but that statement creeps me out!

6. No, no - I saw it on TV - just a quick "flash"
and I don't know what network - they immediately said it wasn't supposed to be shown and they had just shown it. It had to have been MSNBC or CNN

8. I didn't know the media had gotten a hold of the video
the Irish government tried to stop the video from being released. Apparently, they weren't successful. I hope someone comes up with a link, I'd love to see it.

7. Remember the scene from TommyBoy where David Spade is at the window?
Watching some chick at the pool and jerking off and Chris Farley catches him??? That was all I could think of when I heard this.

9. This is great........and what was Clinton doing when he was caught
unaware in HIS hotel room?:

In April 1998, a news camera zooming in on President Clinton's hotel suite in Dakar, Senegal captured images of him chomping a cigar, tapping an African drum and strumming a guitar.

12. I saw it!
I think BBC World had it on last night for a split second.

You'd think he'd know better by now not to pull back the drapes while in his undershirt.
