Short of $1bn for the embassy, Richard Armitage, the deputy secretary of state, said he might have to "rob from Peter in my fiefdom to pay Paul". In fact, he is robbing Iraq's people, who, according to a recent study by the consumer group Public Citizen, are facing "massive outbreaks of cholera, diarrhoea, nausea and kidney stones" from drinking contaminated water.

7. "Al Jazeera has more credibility in the world" because at this

point in time it IS more credible. I have spent the last few days at my 84 year old mother's house, replacing her bathroom floor. She is too poor to have the work hired out, so I did it for her. All the time I was there, she was listening to Fox News - non-stop. I tried to talk to her about how stupid it was for a person of her age and socio-economic status to be a Bush supporter. But she is too far gone in the propaganda - she has no clue and wants none. I have writen her off for anything other than required assistence. It's sad, but I cannot let family ties over-ride the destruction of my country. Al Jazeera? I prefer it to any US media, period.
