Israel should talk about nuclear arms: El Baradei
Israel should start talking seriously about ridding the Middle East of nuclear weapons, whether it admits to having them or not, the head of the UN nuclear watchdog has said.
.....
International experts estimate that Israel has from 100 to 200 nuclear weapons.
.....

He said he would like Israel, as well as everyone else in the Middle East, to open up its nuclear facilities to IAEA inspections.

Asked if he thought the Israelis would be open to such an idea, he said: "I don't know. That's the purpose of my visit."

But of course the US government will not insist on any Israeli cooperation with the IAEA. Only the "bad guys" have to do that. Why the refusal of the US to believe Iran that they want to develop nuclear energy for domestic purposes?

And hasn't Bush pubically pondered on the development of small tactical nuclear weapons?

el Baradai goes on to say that it is unsustainable that some countries have nuclear weapons and others dont.

1. I also believe the US should open up to inspections.
We have more wmd's than anyone and continue to create more.

Why shouldn't we be held accountable? Especially for the use of depleted uranium in the bombs dropped in Iraq since early 90's?

Another case of do as I say, not as I do.

:hi:
