Buried in this story on Tom DeLay's witchhunt and waste of federal resources to track down Texas Democrats who fled the state to shut down a partisan Republican power play redistricting effort was this:

The Justice Department wrongly told 30 to 40 members of Congress and the public in May that no Justice or FBI resources were deployed to track down the lawmakers. The inspector general attributed the misstatement to an FBI special counsel unaware of the Corpus Christi agent's activities.

6. Hello JACKSON and WELCOME to DU!!!!!......Ashcroft seems to be

hiding behind the statue that he draped.

He certainly is running away from this issue.

I do believe that this fiasco could go all the way to the Supreme Court......And boy would the Supreme Court love to lay Ashcroft in
clover right now!

They seem to be at war with each other and if the Supreme Court rulls against Ashcroft then there is a real good chance of him being
impeached there after.
