'Joe's Jobs Tours' brings Lieberman to Bellevue (Hosted By Bush '04 Repub)
Edited on Thu Aug-14-03 07:10 AM by khephra
snip...........

But Lieberman did not ask about the political affiliation of the man across the table: Ramgen Chief Executive Doug Jewett, former Seattle city attorney and big-time contributor to Republican candidates.

Federal election records indicate that Jewett wrote a $2,000 check to the Bush-Cheney 2004 campaign in June.

The Lieberman campaign said it knew Jewett's political bent but said his willingness to host the presidential contender "speaks for itself."

The message: Lieberman is a centrist Democrat even a Republican could love.

snip.....................

But Jewett says he knows whom he is going to vote for next year.

"I'd be the happiest guy in the world if President Bush wanted to stop by. In the fall of 2004, I expect to be supporting the president," he said, adding: "There isn't anyone in the company who doesn't respect Sen. Lieberman."

more......................

All the candidates are seeking crossover voters, so that's not why I'm highlighting that section. However, this is the first time I've read about any of them being hosted by someone who has donated to Bush's 2004 campaign and that says they are expecting to support Bush in 2004.

2. We all respect Joe
Yep, we just respect the heck out of 'im. Real respectable guy. He'll do a nice respectable campaign too. No question that he respects Our Great Hero-President, which is the right attitude for a Democrat to have. We'll have a nice orderly campaign--no need for harsh words or anything unpleasant--followed by a nice orderly transition to 4 more years of Bush. And Joe can go back to the Senate comfortable in the assurance that he ran a respectable campaign and lost to a guy he respects so much.

The perfect Democratic candidate, from a Republican perspective.

4. I don't respect him. He's not advocating...
Edited on Thu Aug-14-03 08:49 AM by Kanzeon
giving equal amounts of $$$ to Israel and Palestine.

When he does that, he's got my vote.

When he admits that he fellated PNAC, he's got my vote.

When he admits that NAFTA and GATT f*cked American workers, and is not environmentally friendly, and doesn't allow for the PEOPLE to have input on resolving disputes, he's got my vote.

When he stops the moral hypocrisy and gets busted with a German Shepard, a leather harness, a can of whipped cream, two turtle-doves, and a partridge in a pear tree he's got my vote.

5. Ever Wonder Why the Media Scum and the ReThugs Love Joe?
Because they know he's be the worst Dem candidate--Bush would cream him! Every other Dem--including Shaprton--stands a better chance!

By the way, I used to live in Seattle and Bellevue is the most Republican part of the state. They're really nuts there--you would see bumper stickers with Clinton adn Gore with a hammer and sickle through their names. I mean, if you think those two were Communists, God only knows what's going on in your feeble little mind!

6. No need for him to resign
He's digging his own grave. Even his host admits that, although he respects Lieberpuke, he's going to be voting for the shrub next fall, as, of course, one would expect a Republican to do. It never fails to amaze me that Lieberpuke doesn't get this: Repukes are going to vote for Repukes, not for him, no matter how much he tries to ingratiate himself to them. So he alienates his own party and wins friends in the Repuke party who are never going to support him over the shrub anyway. So who then will vote for him? Answer: no one.

7. I'd like to point out....
Bellevue is one of the few Rethug districts in the state of Washington, and is about a 10 minute drive to downtown Seattle -- home of Congressman McDermott. It's also the only averaged-sized town I've ever seen with skyscrapers. I lived there for 6 months and the place is teeming with Raygunite, junk-bond tradin', Beemer drivin' 80's-era hubris.

We all know who your friends are, Joe.
