Indian troops amassing near Kargil

ISLAMABAD: The government has received intelligence reports about massive movement of Indian troops across the Line of Control (LoC) in Drass Kargil sector, sources said on Saturday.

Earlier, President General Pervez Musharraf and Prime Minister Zafarullah Jamali reiterated that Pakistan was not involved in any arms race but would take all possible measures to maintain a “minimum credible deterrence”.

Sources said the troop movement suggested a possible military operation in the area.
