Simon baits Schwarzenegger on issues
(CNN) -- Bill Simon accused Republican rival Arnold Schwarzenegger Sunday of being unclear on the issues in the race to replace Democratic Gov. Gray Davis in the Californian recall election.

snip......................

Asked about reports that Republican leaders might be pressuring McClintock, Ueberroth and him to drop out and rally around Schwarzenegger, Simon he plans to be in the running until the end. "I'm not under any pressure to quit," he said.

"People are hungry for leadership," said Simon, pointing out that he lost to Davis in the 2002 general election by 300,000 votes in a state with 1 million more Democratic voters than Republicans.

"This is not about endorsements, this is not about politics, this is about doing the right thing," Simon said.

"What we need to do is focus on the message. Where does Mr. Schwarzenegger stand on the issues? We don't even know."

4. In the LA Times today, Arnold "declined to reply"
to a couple of questions asked to the leading candidates
running.
and Ueberroth is running as a Republican, though you'd
never know it from the silence on him from the CA GOP.

5. Simon on the issues
Is he sure he wants his views out there???

I've listened to him. He keeps saying he's a true conservative, but when asked questions he dodges and ducks with the best of them. He often answers, "I'm looking into that" or I'm talking to a number of people about that."

I do know he's for privatizing water. There you go. That and being anti-abortion (but he won't do anything about it ) is about all I've ever heard from him. Oh, and the traffic is terrible.

6. Simon is my favorite--although incredibly dumb--sacrificial lamb!
I'm glad he's confronting Ah-nuld--the meida whores aren't. It's nice to see the Nazis go after one another. Of course, by drawing a distinction between himself and Ah-nuld, people will see what a real wing-nut he is. I see him getting around 5% of the vote--and then he'll be stupid enough to run against Boxer!
