Members of an Ecuador Indian rights party stripped a congressman down to his underpants, doused him with cold water and lashed him with nettles as punishment for disregarding orders to vote against a government-sponsored bill.

Indian leaders had warned him they would punish him for leaving Congress prior to a vote on a wage reform bill presented on August 6. The bill was soundly defeated despite his absence.

Indian leaders have warned that several other politicians and former government officials may soon face similar retribution.

that's the sort of thing we should do here. Remind your rep who she/he works for! The downside is, they also represent other people who would want to nettle them for other votes/actions.

what a refreshing way to straighten out a crooked
politician. I think Ashcroft is a worthy candidate
for punishment. Our forefathers would have tarred
and feathered him for even thinking about tampering
with the Constitution.
