CBS News: In other developments in Iraq
(at bottom of page..)

-snip-

A group of 238 soldiers from the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua, El Salvador and Honduras headed for Kuwait to join a Polish-led peacekeeping force that will operate in south-central Iraq. A group of 14 troops from Kazakhstan also left for Iraq to join the Polish-led force. Another 13 are scheduled to leave Wednesday. Jordan ruled out sending peacekeepers to Iraq under the umbrella of U.S. occupation forces.

2. Notice that they are willing to send troops,
only if they are not going to be associated with US/UK troops who have the targets on their backs.

4. IMO, the USA is actually paying for these 'coalition' soldiers
uniforms/equipment/training/pay...the whole tab is ON US....it would probably be cheaper and safer to use our own troops, but shrub desperately needs to show a BIG coalition...

7.  I don't know about the rest
but the last I heard was that Poland's 1,300 was going to
cost 230 million. No time period was stated but I guess
it's for a year.

Then Poland balked after a lot of soldiers died. I don't
know if Bushco had to increase their pay or not.

6. LBN Rules... locking
LBN rules require that when a poster cites a linked-to article, the subject line must contain the exact title of the article.

In this case, the subject line should read:

U.N. Base In Baghdad Bombed

In that case, it would be a duplicate post; however, this information is new and important, although the CBS article has been cited a few times already in LBN. amen1234, I'd encourage you to start a new discussion about the Central American deployment in the General Discussion forum, or post your new comments in an already existing LBN thread on the Baghdad bombing subject.

Thanks!
