Anarchists' Convention Debates Voting (Those who will vote are anti-Bush)
Anarchists' Convention Debates Voting
Anarchists' Convention Debates Whether Voting Makes You a Bad Anarchist

The Associated Press

ATHENS, Ohio Aug. 16, 2004 — A group of anarchists is taking an unusual step to make its political voice heard going to the polls.
Anarchists generally pride themselves on their rejection of government and its authority. But a faction of them fed up with the war in Iraq say they plan to cast anti-Bush votes this fall.

The voting debate was just one of the topics explored at the three-day North American Anarchist Convergence, which brought about 175 participants to Ohio University.

Some attendees rejected the voting proposal.

snip...........

Others said they are embracing their right to engage in the political process, and plan to vote for John Kerry, Ralph Nader or anyone who can underscore their opposition to the Bush administration.

2. The joke would no doubt be about the US 'education' system
My school summed it up as anarchy = chaos right before they glossed over

plutocracy and oligarchy and then said US is the greatest country and

only real democracy in the world because capitalism is democracy.

3. While I'm in favor of more anti-bush people voting...
..there is something funny about this article and the proceedings in general.

On the other hand, when you've got anarchists, even a small amount, saying they plan to vote for the democratic candidate that just can't bode well for the other side.

4. That was what I really liked about the article
If Bush is starting to unite Anarchists against him, then he is truly a uniter, isn't he?
