Iraq Guerrillas Target 'Traitors' Working for U.S.

TIKRIT, Iraq (Reuters) - Guerrillas followed an Iraqi translator home and put a bullet through his head because he worked for U.S. occupiers, the American army said on Thursday.

The killers left a note by the corpse threatening to attack more Iraqi "collaborators" after Tuesday's killing near the town of Samarra, north of the capital Baghdad.

"This was cold-blooded execution. They view all these Iraqis working with us as traitors," said Major Bryan Luke of the U.S. army's 4th Infantry Division.

Iraqi guerrillas have killed 62 U.S. soldiers since major hostilities were declared over on May 1, but are also targeting locals working with the 132,000 American troops here.

1. Seems like a logical way for an Iraqi to think to me.

They view all these Iraqis working with us as traitors," said Major Bryan Luke of the U.S. army's 4th Infantry Division.

And why shouldn't they? Of course if they could just see that the US Army is only there to liberate the Iraqi people and not to act as enforcers for the Halliburton gang and the other Bush PNAC cronies as they loot the country's resources then I am sure they would all collaberate with the occupiers, er.. liberators.

3. Wasn't there an assassination
of a prominent Muslim cleric just a few days after the fall of Bahgdad? Also, hasn't there been reports of murders in the civilian population all along?

Al Qaeda card!

If you listen to everything coming out of the Bush Crime Famliy and the Media Whores, they all say everything is being caused by 'terrorists' most from other countries! What a bunch of lies.

I also heard on CNN, Brener say the U.N bombing was 'terrorist' but this MSGOP Wash Post story contradicts that:

5. A West Bank of our very own
How many people predicted this? The Iraqis have very quickly adopted many of the tactics the Palestinians have developed over the years to fight against their occupiers (not liberators). Of course, none of the Bush junta would hear any of that. They were too full of fantasies of blossoming democracy...

6. But ... But ...
they are free.

Free to be killed.
By their people.
By our people.

8. I believe the French Resistance did the same thing
Does this make them "cold-blooded executioners" also. I don't see where the Iraqi resistance is doing anything different then other
resistance groups have done when their country has been invaded.

And besides collaborators know that ultimate cost for their aid
to an invading army is always death if they are caught.

It seems that the US military isn't very good at providing security
for their translators, or the oil pipeline, or water mains...

It doesn't look like they are any good at providing security for
anything or anyone besides themselves.

Just another opinion.
