Against a backdrop of increasing public skepticism about America's military presence in Iraq, US Defence Secretary Donald Rumsfeld on Monday told a veterans organization that all was going well.

Without citing specifics - the near daily guerrilla attacks on American forces in Iraq or the car bomb which destroyed the UN headquarters in Baghdad, for example - Rumsfeld noted there had been "setbacks" for US troops stationed there but that with patience the enemy will be defeated.

Yeah, that doesn't make sense, but I got to use the 'whistle ass' moniker, which I've really come to enjoy...but moving right along...
