the number of palestinians killed is almost 4 times more than the Israelis. Need to balance that out.

18. If Numbers Are To Be Juggled, Dear
The total of Arab Palestinians is but three or so per ten thousand: hardly evidence for a determiniation to kill all Arabs, as you stated above. Such hyperbole does not do your cause any good, but rather opens you to ridicule for hyperventilation.

24. Here's what I make of it
"The Israeli troops were in a house close to the border, where they had found a tunnel exit, when they came under fire from small arms and rocket-propelled grenades."

The reporter got caught in a crossfire that was started by militants. The action that needs taken is against the hamas terrorists and the PA should be leading the way.

23. Interesting seeing you justifying the killing.
And talking about causes. Do keep talking. Besides the superfluous faux legalese, we enjoy learning more about your true cause.

6. 65 year old killed, four children wounded, 8 yr old in critical condition
http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=540&ncid=716&e=2&u=/ap/20030826/ap_on_re_mi_ea/israel_strike

<edit>

The attack killed bystander Hassan Hamlawi, 65, who was sitting on the sidewalk outside his water pipe shop when the missiles hit nearby. At least 26 bystanders were wounded, doctors said. Among those hurt were four children, including an 8-year-old boy who was in critical condition, doctors said.

Just minutes earlier, an Israeli gunboat fired two shells toward northern Gaza City, hitting an empty plot of land. Initial reports that several people were wounded in that attack could not be verified.

15. A better idea
How about the hamas terrorists stop hiding behing innocents and getting them hurt. If the Palestinians that have arms would use them to arrest the terrorists among them then peace would be a document away and their lives would be improved.

Letting the terrorist run free in your town just prolongs the war and gets innocents killed while the IDF goes about their justified job of eliminating the terrorists that are blowing up busses of kids.

16. The car was in a traffice jam
"At the time of the strike, the car was stuck in a traffic jam just north of Gaza City, near the Jebaliya refugee camp" - AP

So the CRAZY copter pilot fired three missles into a group of cars hoping to get "the target".

12. not even close..
RAMALLAH (Reuters) - Israeli soldiers on Tuesday shot dead a 95-year-old Palestinian woman who was taking a taxi home after a medical check-up in the West Bank city of Ramallah, Palestinian witnesses and medics said.

They said troops opened fire on the van the woman was riding in when it tried to bypass rubble that Israeli forces had used to block the road between Ramallah and her home village of Atara.

10. obvious collective punishment
none of the Palestinian population has left Gaza since 2000, they live in a prison and don't have the ability to commit "terrorist" attacks and haven't done anything in the past few years with the exception of some Katushka rocket attacks fired blindly into the Negev followed by a draconian Israeli airstrike about a year ago.

All the bombers and "gunmen" come from the West Bank but somehow bombing Gaza is "counter-terrorism".

14. Hamas Social is a good, Hamas military is a bad & located in Gaza
There are many Hamas in the West Bank, of course, but the leadership is in Gaza.

A major problem for Israel and the PA is that Hamas has a better and more extensive social services structure than the PA - they do a hell of a lot of good.

The "military wing" - I'm not sure how a "wing" exists - of Hamas are indeed a bunch of terrorist.

How does one support Hamas the social services org, while stopping Hamma the terrorist org?

A bit of a problem.

17. they make phone calls..
They aren't capable of doing much of anything in Gaza at least physically.

They can call for attacks but I don't see the point in striking at them over that when they can't physically carry them out since presumably Hamas cells in the West Bank would just continue to operate at full bore speed without a leadership class to curb them.

19. Where are all the Israel/Sharon apologists?
Israel is no better than Palestine...Both practice terror and are terrorists. The difference is that Israel has better (US made) weapons and funding (billions in US taxpayer money). Given the chance, the Palestinian 'terrorists' would fire their helicopter gunships at the Israel Defense Force terrorists and at Sharon the terrorist instead of at Israeli civilians, but they don't really have that option now, do they? But, but (you say) Israel doesn't "target" children and old people since helicopter gunships and tanks only kill terrorists and the old people and children are considered "collateral damage."

*Insert anti-Semite comments after this post*

P.S. The Palestinians are Semites, too.
