US lashes out at Al-Arabiya for broadcasting threats
Edited on Wed Aug-27-03 05:44 PM by NNN0LHI
Gosh. I hear Junior and his minions talking about killing the leaders of other countries almost on a daily basis. I don't get this? I thought all this stuff was OK to do these days? Don

WASHINGTON (AFP) - The United States slammed the Al-Arabiya television network for airing footage of masked men threatening to kill members of the US-appointed interim Iraqi Governing Council, calling it "irresponsible in the extreme."

The State Department said it had sent cables to its embassies and consulates in Dubai, where the network is based, and other countries where Al-Arabiya investors and network officials may live instructing US diplomats to formally protest the broadcast.

"We find Al-Arabiya's decision to air the remarks of these masked terrorists to be irresponsible in the extreme," deputy department spokesman Philip Reeker said.

"There can be no excuse for the kind of inflammatory broadcasting that that station allowed to take place," he told reporters.

3. The Bushco Image Is Falling Apart
I think it destroys the image that this adminstration has been using to keep the sheeple quiet, and not asking questions.

That's why their angry, it's all starting to fall apart. Richard Perle
says we need to turn it over to the Iraqi people ouickly, at least 3
soldiers have died just today, Bremer saying we need to put billions of dollars and at least a decade of occupation, the CO of the 1st Armored Division saying that he's going to build permanent bases, after it was said that there were going to be no permanent bases built.

No one involved with this fiasco can get their story straight. Hell the only ones who seem to know what they're talking about are the would be assassins, and at least their being truthful.

20. Right-wingers in this country are very nuanced in their "threats"
or perhaps we should just call them suggestions. For example, Ann Coulter said something in a column recently about Gore, Kerry, and "friendly fire." What do you think she was talking about?

4. poor wittle occupation government
A wittle scared are we?

Hint: If you don't want masked resistance fighters trying to kill you, don't occupy their country.

The American people would do the same.

Baghdad press hotel hit

A CAMERAMAN of British news agency Reuters and a Spanish cameraman were killed while three other staff members were wounded when a US tank fired a shell at Baghdad's main media hotel.

US commanders said their troops fired a single tank shell at the Palestine Hotel after being shot at from an upper floor.

But European Union officials said they intended to make representations to the United States to provide greater protection to journalists covering the conflict.

Reuters named the dead man as Taras Protsyuk, 35, a Ukrainian national.

Your google slant aside do you have some proof it was targeted as implied?

Why can't you provide proof to back up your stance?

Am I asking too much?

15. The night before the sham...
...photo op of the toppling of the Sadam statue, a US tank lobbed a shell into the hotel that housed journalists, killing 3.

The rest of the news corps in the building got the message. The morning coverage of the staged statue toppling was pleasing to the bush* cabal of international mass murderers.
