Nuclear proliferation the big threat

In the presidential debate on foreign policy President Bush and Sen. John Kerry agreed nuclear proliferation was the biggest threat facing the country. After covering who had the best plan to keep America safe and the Iraq war, Kerry accused Bush of "outsourcing the job" of capturing Osama bin Laden. Asked what should rule Kerry out of race, Bush said "you cannot lead if you send mixed messages."

1. And who's responsible for nuclear proliferation?
I do remember Bush pulling out of the nuclear non-proliferation treaty.

4. I think it was the ABM treaty (among others) that Bush pulled out of

I am pretty sure we are still a signatory to the nuclear non-proliferation treaty.

5. Corrected thanks
But it was him pulling out of the ABM treaty and invading Iraq that has caused many nations to speed up it's nuclear programs.

7. I understand that cruise missile technology is all the rage these days
Chimpys Star Wars missile defense system can't touch them.

3. I know this went over the ditto's head but the fact that we a going make
mini nukes is outrageous. Spending money on WMDs that we are trying to get the rest of the world to destroy or not produce is INSANE. This should be a HUGE issue for the pundits to pick up on but they will not. It will take Dem spokespeople to get this issue squarely in front of the public with all its ramifications, including increasing the necessity of others to develop these weapons as a deterent to us! Putin should be screaming about this.

6. Missile Defense Shield might be used to deploy first strikes from space
I started a thread on this today. Not sure if it's for real or not at this point...

Not sure what the implications would be at this point other than PNAC world domination
