Nader to Hit Swing States; Kerry Improves
Nader to Hit Swing States; Kerry Improves

By THEO EMERY, Associated Press Writer

BOSTON - With polls showing a narrowing gap between President Bush (news - web sites) and Sen. John Kerry (news - web sites), independent candidate Ralph Nader (news - web sites) said Sunday that he planned to continue campaigning in key battleground states in the final month of the presidential election.

<snip>

Nader has long disputed the charge that he will be a "spoiler" for the Democrats in November. Critics have said his candidacy cost Democrat Al Gore (news - web sites) the presidential election in 2000 when he lost by just a few hundred votes in Florida, where the liberal Nader got 97,000 votes for his Green Party candidacy.

While preparing for a campaign trip that begins at Harvard on Monday and continues to the swing states of Maine and New Hampshire on Tuesday, Nader said defeating Bush is a priority, but he's still trying to capture as many votes as possible in November.

Defeating Bush is a priority, so he's only visiting battleground states where he can do nothing but hurt Kerry. Someone tell me why I'm not supposed to despise this guy?

2. Yep.
One of the goons from the AFL-CIO in Michigan should "take care of things" if Nader comes there.

4. A-Hole
Nader's message resonates with me but what a tool he is.
The Repugs fund many of his ballot drives and he says he is "independent"?
What an A-Hole.

9. Can anyone defend this egomaniacal asshat anymore?
It's clear that he is trying to help Smirk win. Given what has happened to this country over the past four years, that is flat-out treason.

13. Wow, Randi
All your death fantasies and references to sodomy...it brings to mind the enlightened remarks vomitted forth by the Right during the impeachment scandal.

16. Notice how the reporter says "a narrowing gap"
in the polls. It's not a narrowing gap - Bush's lead is gone.
